The Dawson Football Booster Club is chartering fan buses for the trip to San Antonio Friday night. The first bus is already full, and we are hoping to fill a 2nd bus.
The cost will be $30 per passenger, and the bus will leave at 1pm from DHS, and returning following the game.

... for the second time in the program's short four-year history, Dawson (12-2) advances to the state semifinals. It will take on perennial powerhouse Lake Travis next Friday at 8 p.m. in the Alamodome in the Class 4A Division I.

Freshman A and B teams will play Clear Falls this week for a makeup game since our Friendswood game got cancelled. The B team will play at 4:30 and the A team at 6:00 at Clear Falls High School.
While the Tors' struggles continues, the No. 6 state-ranked Eagles (8-0, 4-0) were firing on all cylinders.

Dawson senior linebacker Steve Orisakwe was named the District 24-4A "Defensive Player of the Year" after another outstanding season.

Though no Galveston County team calls The Rig home, fans make a lot of trips because of district and playoff games. I've never heard any complaints, and it's always pleasant and fun, even for the visitors.

Axtell was a three-year starter for the Dawson football team and helped anchor an offensive line that produced one of the top offenses in the Houston area that led to the Class 4A Region III championship and to the 4A state semifinals in 2009.
