Lake Travis playoff game information

The Dawson Football Booster Club is chartering fan buses for the trip to San Antonio Friday night. The first bus is already full, and we are hoping to fill a 2nd bus.


The cost will be $30 per passenger, and the bus will leave at 1pm from DHS, and returning following the game.


If you are interested, please contact Tom Wicklund at Tdwick@sbcglobal.net. Include your name, phone number and number of passengers. Payment is due prior to boarding on Friday, either in cash or a check made out to DFBC.

Dawson snags key turnovers to end Angleton's perfect season

... for the second time in the program's short four-year history, Dawson (12-2) advances to the state semifinals. It will take on perennial powerhouse Lake Travis next Friday at 8 p.m. in the Alamodome in the Class 4A Division I.

Freshman A and B teams will play Clear Falls this week for a makeup game since our Friendswood game got cancelled. The B team will play at 4:30 and the A team at 6:00 at Clear Falls High School.

Dawson Soars Past Nimitz 62 – 7

Go to the UTSA football camp page and click the "Register Now!" button to register for Advanced Camp I, to be held at Rhodes Stadium in Katy on June 10th for 9th - 12th graders. The cost is $50.


Dawson Eagle Minicamp and Strength and Speed Camp

Dawson football's strength and conditioning camp for incoming 9th - 12th graders will be held at Dawson HS from June 13 through July 14 from 7am to 11:30am. The cost is $100 with pre-registration and $110 walk-up. Download the flyer for more information and an application.

This year the Dawson Football Booster Club will be awarding a total of $10,000 in scholarships to applicants who meet the program criteria. It was just an 'ole fashion thrashing as the Eagles outgained the Wildcats 415 to 173 total yards including holding Angleton's Mr. All-Purpose, Quandre Diggs, to only 46 yards passing and 63 yards rushing for an anemic 99 total yards and no touchdowns. Dawson Reaches Semifinals in State 7 on 7 Tournament

Wins over Whitehouse, Manvel and Lamar put Dawson in the semifinal contest, where the Eagles fell to DeSoto. Axtell Receives Eagle Scout Award

Axtell was a three-year starter for the Dawson football team and helped anchor an offensive line that produced one of the top offenses in the Houston area that led to the Class 4A Region III championship and to the 4A state semifinals in 2009.
