- Eric Wells, Head Coach

Eric Wells is a native of La Marque and is married to wife, Angela, who is an R.N. They have two children, Tucker, age 14, and Spencer, age 12.
Wells coached at La Marque for six years when the Cougars won three state championships. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin with a B.S. degree.
Wells was named 4A “Coach of the Year” by the Houston Texans 2009 after seeing the Eagles advance to the 4A Division I state semifinals.
Wells enjoys his family as well as playing golf. He is also instrumental in raising money for the support of children with Down Syndrome.

- Ryan Silvertooth

- Offensive Coordinator
- Ryan Silvertooth is a native of La Marque, Texas. He earned a B.S. degree in Kinesiology with a minor in English from Sam Houston State. Silvertooth begins his 10th year coaching with five previous years at Pearland HS. He teaches Physical Education and English. Silvertooth enjoys time with his girlfriend, Tiffany Broze, who is a registered nurse and her son Brayden. Silvertooth also enjoys fishing, golf, watching movies, and college football. He was a member of the La Marque Cougars when they won the state championship in 1995. He was also on the ‘Coogs’ state runner-up teams in 1993 and 1994.

- Defensive Coordinator/Assistant Head Coach
- Mike Allison begins his 15th year coaching. He coached at Pearland JH East for three years and seven years at Pearland HS. He is a native of Woodville, Texas and graduated from Texas A&M with a B.S. degree in Kinesiology. He is married to wife, Marilyn, who is a CPA. The couple have three children, Jake, age 10, Josh, age 7, and Sarah, age 7. Allison teaches Special Education. He enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, and fishing. Allison was an assistant coach at the 2007 Bayou Bowl that featured the top seniors players for the Texas All-Stars versus the Louisiana All-Stars.

- Jerry Killen is a native of Pearland. He earned a B.S. degree from Sam Houston State in Kinesiology and teaches Special Education. Killen spent his first 6 years of coaching at Pearland HS. He begins his fifth year at Dawson HS as an assistant football coach and head coach of the girls track and cross country teams. Killen coached the Dawson HS girls track team to the 2009, 2010, and 2011 district championships. He is married to wife, Rhonda, who is an assistant principal at Morales Elementary in Pasadena. Killen has one son, Blaine, age 20, stepson, Austin, age 23, and stepdaughter, Alexus, age 19. Killen enjoys fishing, golf, music, and family time.

- Gabe Grant is a native of Kingwood, Texas. He graduated from Sam Houston State University with a B.S. degree in Kinesiology. He begins his 10th of coaching and his fifth year at Dawson where he teaches Government. Grant is married to wife, Leslie, who is the Dawson HS Drill Team Director of the Diamond Dancers. The couple have a new bundle of joy, Caroline. Grant enjoys playing golf, hanging out with family and friends, and watching football. He was co-captain of the 2002 Texas and Western Championship Rugby Team at Sam Houston State. He also graduated Magna Cum Laude from SHSU.

- Brandon Kinsey is a native of Brownwood, Texas. He received his B.S. degree in Sociology from Texas A&M University and a M.ED from Lamar University. Kinsey has been coaching for 11 years. He teaches Sociology, AP Economics, and Economics.. He is married to wife, Lisa, who is a VP of Organizational Development for National Oilwell Varco. The couple have a beautiful daughter, Katelyn, age 1. Kinsey enjoys time with his family and their dog - Kale.

- Wade Oliphant is a native of La Marque, Texas. He graduated from Texas Southern University with a B.S. in Business Administration aand a M.Ed from Lamar University. He begins his fourth year of coaching at Dawson and teaches business classes. He also coaches track. Oliphant is married to wife, Anita, who is a teacher. They have two children, Anyia, age 13 and Jordyn, age 2. Oliphant enjoys time with his family and all sports.

- Kyle Blalock is in his third year at Dawson. The Tyler native graduated from Texas A&M with a B.S. in Kinesiology. This is his sixth year coaching and he teaches US History and Military History. He previously coached at Whitehouse HS and Chapel Hill HS. Blalock is married to wife, Jessica, who teaches Special Education at Dawson and is a varsity assistant volleyball coach. He lists golf and scuba diving as his hobbies. The couple have a son, Mason, age 2, and a precious new baby girl, Emily.

- Defensive Line/ Video Coordinator
- Daniel Stuckey is a native of Gatesville, Texas. He received a B.S. degree from Texas A&M and a M.B.A. from UT-Tyler. Stuckey has been coaching for 9 years. He is in his 6th year in Pearland ISD. Stuckey previously coached at Texas College. He teaches AP Economics, Dual Credit Economics, and Economics. He is married to wife, Dawn, who is the Head Athletic Trainer and Director of Sports Medicine at Rice University. Stuckey enjoys fishing, hunting, and golf.

- Troy Myers is a native of Houston. Texas. He earned a B.A. degree in Mathmatics with a Minor in Coaching. This is his third year at Dawson HS where he teaches Algebra I. His is married to wife, Jessica, who is an English teacher at Dawson. Myers enjoys video games, drinking Dr. Pepper, and working with the youth at his church.

- Blake Joy is a native of Holton, Kansas. He graduated with a degree in Psychology from Friends University. This is his sixth year in coaching. He teaches Special Education and also coaches basketball. He is married to wife, Amber, who is a graphic designer. They have three children, Preslie, age 8, Maddux, age 2, and newborn Brinlee. Joy lists weightlifting, playing basketball, reading, and bull riding as his hobbies.

- Brent Duvall is a native of Carthage, Texas. He went to UT-Tyler where he received a B.A. degree in History with a minor in Social Studies. He has four years of coaching experience and begins his third year at Dawson HS. Duvall and girlfriend, Marilyn, enjoy spending time together. They also enjoy Boudreaux, a Pembroke Corgi. He teaches World History and also coaches soccer. He enjoys hunting and pizza.

- Jared Cox is a native of Houston, Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas with a B.S. in Kinesiology. He teaches Physics and also coaches baseball. He is married to wife, Lauren, who is a graduate student at the University of Houston. Cox enjoys exotic game hunting, fly fishing, mountain climbing, base jumping, and snake charmer. This is his first year at Dawson.

- Joel Henson is a native of Deer Park, Texas. He earned a degree from Texas A&M in Sports Management. This is his first year at Dawson and he teaches Business Information Management and Business Law. He also coaches baseball. He is married to wife Courtney who is a 10th grade English teacher. Hanson lists watching sports and playing sports among his hobbies.

- Doug Smith is a native of Edmonton Alberta where he graduated from the University of Alberta with a B.S. in Education. He has been coaching 20 years and this is his first year at Dawson. He is married to wife, Cindy, who is also a teacher. They have two sons, Brett, age 14, and Brandon, age 11. Smith enjoys spending time with his family.

- Head Athletic Trainer
- Chris Shaddock is the head trainer for Dawson High School. A native of Humble, Texas, Shaddock graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in Kinesiology. Shaddock was an assistant trainer for Pearland High School prior to the opening of Dawson HS. He previously served at Bryan HS for six years. Shaddock is married to wife, Whitney, and they are the proud parents of a son, Grady, who is age 2. Shaddock enjoys hunting, fishing, and web-page design.

- Assistant Athletic Trainers
- Matt and Lindsey Thomas are assistant trainers for Dawson High School. A native of Bulverde, Texas, Lindsey graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.S. degree in Health Education. She is beginning her fourth year at Dawson after serving at Henderson High School in Henderson, Texas. Husband, Matt, also is an assistant at Pearland High School. The couple have a handsome son.
